Team Division Criteria

(2006 Season)

A-Team

1. In 2006, we will have an A-team for the first time.  The players on the A-team will be 5^th and 6^th graders (a select group of 4^th graders may make the A-team) who exhibit the abilities necessary to compete against the best teams in the city. 
2. It is possible, and likely, that some players may start the season on the B-team and finish the season on the A-team (or vice versa). 
3. Every effort will be made to ensure that each player on the A-team plays at least ½ of each game, though the A-team coaches can’t guarantee that each player will play in ½ of each game.

B-Team

1. All boys in 6^th grade who are not on the A-team will be on the B-team.
2. All boys in 5^th grade who are not on the A-team will be on the B-team.
3. Some boys in 4^th grade may play on the B-team, depending on skill and team numbers.
4. Each B-team player will play in at least ½ of each game, provided that he was at all practices during that week.  A player that misses practice during the week might not play in at least ½ of that week’s game.

C-Team

1. All boys in 1^st grade will be on the C-team
2. All boys in 2^nd grade will be on the C-team.
3. All boys in 3^rd grade will be on the C-team.
4. All boys in 4^th grade who are playing for the first time will be on the C-team.
5. Each C-team player will play in at least ½ of each game, provided that he was at all practices during that week.  A player that misses practice during the week might not play in at least ½ of that week’s game.
